TO BOLDY GO

One Pass. Six Packs. A Galaxy to Explore.
Star Trek is coming to Magic: The Gathering, and we’re getting a crew together at Purple Dragon Games. The new set arrives November 13, bringing familiar faces, iconic ships, and science-fiction adventures to the tabletop. Its mechanics turn exploration and teamwork into new ways to play. “Beam me up” lets certain spells return from your graveyard by paying their listed cost and returning one of your creatures to your hand. “Federation” rewards the variety of creature types among your non-Borg crew. “Strange new worlds” counts differently named lands, while Spacecraft and station let your creatures help bring powerful ships online. Even choosing between options on certain spells becomes part of the adventure through “face a dilemma.” These ideas give longtime Magic players fresh combinations to explore. For Star Trek fans, they offer the fun of seeing familiar themes become decisions you make during a game. You don’t need to know every episode or memorize the new mechanics before joining us. Our To Boldly Go Sealed League gives you time to discover the set through actual play, familiar opponents, and plenty of opportunities to try again.

Your $35 Ticket to the Season
Here’s the offer: pay $35 at the counter, receive six sealed Star Trek Play Booster packs, and enjoy every remaining league meetup without another admission fee. Our league begins November 15, 2026, and continues through January 28, 2027. We’re aiming to meet most Fridays from 4–8 p.m. and Sundays from 4–6 p.m. Check individual calendar listings for confirmed dates and holiday exceptions. Your starting packs provide the cards you’ll use to build your league deck. You keep those cards and bring your deck back for future visits. There’s no prebuilt deck to buy before you can participate. There’s also no weekly pack purchase required to keep playing. That makes this an easy expense to plan around during a busy shopping season. One purchase gives you an activity to return to through the holidays and into January. Come for an occasional visit or make the Dragon part of your regular weekend plans. The more meetups you enjoy, the further that same $35 goes.
Open Your Packs and Begin Your Mission
On your first visit, stop at the counter and tell us you’re joining the league. Staff will help you get started with your packs, tracking materials, and session check-in. Open your cards, sort through your options, and begin choosing your crew. “Sealed” simply means you build from your own starting packs, with basic lands added for your deck. Your remaining approved cards stay together as your league pool, giving you options to try later. Once you’re ready, your journey starts at Starfleet Academy with three introductory games. After Academy, you can explore the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta quadrants in any order. Each quadrant has its own special play rules, so read the table’s instructions before beginning. Complete three matches in each quadrant and record your progress on your player insignia. Collect all 15 required signatures to reach Captain and earn the league completion promo, while supplies last. Your mission advances through completed play, so a loss can still move your adventure forward.
Holiday Plans? Shore Leave Approved.
You do not have to attend every Friday or Sunday to belong in this league. We know December calendars can look like someone spilled an entire board game across them. Come when you can, keep your materials together, and pick up your progress when you return. Missing a meetup does not erase the activities you already completed. You also won’t return to discover that everyone has moved to a weekly chapter you can no longer access. Frequent players will have more practice and may advance sooner, but you can still share the tables and enjoy your own journey. If you only have occasional openings, coordinate with another league member and make those visits count. If you love having somewhere to play regularly, take advantage of both meetup windows whenever they’re offered. Either approach gives you room to experiment with your deck and meet other players. Just remember that January 28 is the season deadline, so leave enough time if finishing your Captain requirements matters to you. Scheduled meetups are your best opportunity to find opponents, and checking ahead helps when planning a shorter visit. Your mission can fit around your holiday plans without becoming another weekly obligation.
A Deck You Get to Know—and Improve
Part of the fun is learning what your own cards can do over several visits. A card you overlooked on opening day might become a favorite after a few games. You might change your colors, adjust your lands, or discover a combination another player helps you spot. You can keep experimenting with your original pool without spending more money. At rank promotions, the official league also offers the option to purchase an additional booster to expand that pool. Those upgrades are optional and separate from your season pass. Check with the event leader before opening a pack you intend to add. Cards from personal purchases, trades, or your existing collection do not automatically belong in your league deck. Keep your approved pool separate so returning to play is simple. Bring your deck, remaining league cards, player insignia, and any dice or tokens you use. Then find an opponent, review your next destination, and get another game underway. Six packs, cards you keep, and a season of reasons to come back—join the crew at Purple Dragon Games starting November 15.
