Prerelease Event Fri and Sun!

Reality Fracture Splits In This Friday!

Reality is about to crack wide open at Purple Dragon Games! Magic: The Gathering—Reality Fracture arrives this Friday, September 25, and our community will be among the first to step inside the Echoverse during two special Prerelease events.

Join us Friday, September 25, or Sunday, September 27, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. Admission is $34.99 per player and includes your Reality Fracture Prerelease Kit, free pizza for ticket holders and prize support. You are welcome to attend either event—or return on Sunday and experience the set all over again with an entirely different card pool.

Reality Fracture is the culmination of a story that has been building around Jace for years. After witnessing invasions, catastrophes and devastating losses across the Multiverse, Jace has attempted to reshape reality into his own vision of what it should be. The result is the Echoverse: a mirrored world where familiar heroes, villains, spells and strategies return as strange new reflections of themselves.

That is one reason we are especially excited about this set. Reality Fracture does not merely introduce another destination—it takes things Magic players already recognize and asks what they might become in a rewritten Multiverse. Familiar legends appear beside altered counterparts, beloved ideas return in unexpected forms and Echoed Pairs create exciting connections between two versions of a character. It should be a wonderfully strange set to open for the first time, especially when no one at the table knows exactly what combinations they may discover.

Prerelease is one of the most beginner-friendly ways to experience a new Magic set. You do not need to bring a prepared deck or purchase cards in advance. Each player receives a Prerelease Kit containing six Reality Fracture Play Boosters and the materials needed to begin building. You will open your packs, examine your new cards and construct a deck of at least 40 cards using your card pool and basic lands provided by the store.

Once decks are ready, players will be paired for casual matches. Prerelease is not about arriving with the perfect strategy or memorizing every card before the event begins. Everyone is learning the set together. You can ask questions, experiment with unfamiliar mechanics and discover which colors and cards work well together. Our staff and experienced players will be available to help newer participants with deck construction and gameplay.

There will also be prize support, free pizza for registered ticket holders and a welcoming group of local Magic players ready to share the excitement. Whether you are a longtime player, returning after a break or attending your first Prerelease, there will be a seat waiting for you.
