INCOMING WARHAMMER GIVEAWAY

Something Scary Is Coming: PDG’s October Warhammer Giveaway!
Something scary is lurking in the Purple Dragon Games Discord server this October, and we’re inviting our growing Warhammer community to investigate. It might be waiting behind a suspiciously ordinary door. It might have too many teeth. It might simply be judging your pile of unpainted miniatures. Whatever it is, our October Warhammer Giveaway will be hosted exclusively on Discord in the warhammer-rpgs channel! That’s where we’ll reveal the mystery prize and explain how to participate. For now, consider this your invitation to step inside, meet your fellow players, and discover what’s stirring.
This giveaway celebrates something we’ve been watching happen around our tables: our Warhammer community is growing, and its enthusiasm is becoming wonderfully difficult to contain. Players are meeting opponents, bringing armies, comparing ideas, and leaving with plans for their next battle. Apparently, one good game leads to another. Then another. Then somebody starts discussing a campaign, and suddenly everyone needs a calendar, reinforcements, and possibly a larger carrying case. We love seeing that excitement turn into friendships and ongoing adventures.
Warhammer games are happening weekly at Purple Dragon Games, with our advertised every-other-Saturday meets providing a regular gathering point. Those public events have helped players find one another, but the momentum now reaches beyond the dates we announce. A couple of privately organized campaigns are taking shape through our members, who are arranging their own games and developing adventures together. These are community initiatives, fueled by players who want more opportunities to play. The appetite is growing, and people are looking for more players to join them.
That growth has made something clear: coordinating our Warhammer community now requires more than a public event announcement. A scheduled meetup can tell you when to arrive, but it cannot capture every conversation, campaign opening, or spontaneous challenge. Someone might be available on a different afternoon. Another player might need an opponent for a particular army size. A campaign organizer might have room for one more participant. Those opportunities deserve a place where players can find each other directly and keep the conversation moving.
That’s why we want to grow our Discord server alongside the community it serves. In the warhammer-rpgs, you can introduce yourself, share what you play, ask who’s available, and start discussing your next game. You can connect with the Warhammer enthusiasts in our area instead of hoping you happen to visit the store at the same time. For newer players, it’s also a friendly starting point: ask questions, meet people, and learn where you might fit. You don’t need a legendary army or encyclopedic knowledge to say hello.

An active Discord makes the whole community easier to reach. More members mean more potential opponents, more shared experience, and better chances of finding people whose schedules match yours. It also gives member-led campaigns room to develop between store visits. Plans can continue after the dice are packed away, and invitations can reach players who missed a particular meetup. Public announcements still help people discover Warhammer at PDG; Discord helps those connections grow into regular games, friendships, and adventures that players help create themselves.
So, this October, we’re adding a little mystery to the mission. Join the Purple Dragon Games Discord server, head into warhammer-rpgs, and look for our October Warhammer Giveaway announcement. The prize reveal and participation instructions will be posted there, so that channel is your destination for the details. While you’re visiting, introduce yourself and tell everyone what you’re playing—or what you’d like to try. Come for the scary surprise, meet your local Warhammer crowd, and help us build the next chapter together. Your next opponent might already be waiting.
