PURPLE DRAGON GAMES BOUGHT THE OLD NEWSPAPER BUILDING OCT 2025
Purple Dragon Games first opened its doors July 2024 at 306 S. Broadway St, Yreka. Its main focus is a free place to hangout out and play games that sells cards and games and minor snacks to accommodate all-day gaming. At Purple Dragon Games you could rent a D&D room, use open tables to play any TCG or board game-- or even just sip a soda and watch tv. On the side we had a thriving retail section with comics, action figures, video games, RPG books, miniatures, paints and small novelties (pins, keychains, lanyards, etc).
By 2025, the store had massive growing pains and was often standing room only with busy nights and epic rolls! It was blessed with the opportunity to finally expand for more tables, gatherings and events by moving into the "Old Newspaper Building" at 309 S. Broadway St!
The building was in bad shape and came with a forklift that didn't work and dozens of paper rolls that weighed about one ton each.
