The Great Hunny Rescue: UNBOX n’ PLAY

Friday, November 13 | 6–8 p.m. | Free admission

Purple Dragon Games

Oh, bother—Piglet has been carried off by the Vine, and we need a few brave Illumineers to help bring him home! Join us as we open a sealed copy of Disney Lorcana’s Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue and put it straight onto the table. You’re invited to watch the box opening, meet the characters, learn how the adventure works, and take a turn playing. There’s no admission charge and no need to bring a deck.

The Great Hunny Rescue uses Disney Lorcana cards in a cooperative adventure. Instead of trying to beat the person across the table, you and a fellow player work together against the Vine. The box includes two ready-to-play character decks, a self-playing Vine scenario deck, encounter cards, a game board, tokens, and rules. As you travel through the Vine’s tangled rooms, its cards create obstacles and send prickly Vinelings after your team. You’ll play characters, make choices together, and gather enough lore to rescue trapped friends and move deeper into the adventure. It’s a fun way to see Lorcana’s familiar cards and characters in a different kind of game.

For UNBOX n’ PLAY, we’ll open the store’s box together, set up the adventure, and walk through the basics before play begins. The included decks are ready to use, so newcomers can sit down without preparing anything at home. Because this box is designed for solo or two-player play, we’ll rotate players through the seats during the evening. You can cheer on the current rescue team, see how the Vine responds, and step in for a turn as space opens up. Our game leaders will help explain cards and keep the adventure moving.

Whether you already play Lorcana, love Winnie the Pooh, or are simply curious about a card game where everyone is on the same side, come spend Friday evening with us. The box is opening at the Dragon, and Piglet is counting on us!
