Something sweet is waiting at Purple Dragon Games this October! Follow the red checkerboard trail into the Trick-or-Treat Trainer Challenge, a Pokémon League event filled with playful activities, little mysteries, and surprises for Trainers of all ages. This is your chance to enjoy Pokémon beyond the usual battle table. As you make your way through the event, you’ll encounter a variety of themed challenges designed to make you think, explore, laugh, and show off what you love about Pokémon. Some may call on your Pokémon knowledge. Others may ask you to look a little closer, make a clever guess, or bring your best Trainer spirit. You won’t know everything waiting along the trail until you arrive, and that’s part of the fun!

You don’t need to be an expert to join in. Kids and first-time Trainers will find plenty of ways to participate, while longtime Pokémon fans can enjoy putting their knowledge to the test. Our game leader will explain each activity and help everyone get started. Come with a friend or family member, or meet other Trainers as you go. There’s room to take your time, ask questions, and enjoy the discoveries along the way.

And yes, there are treats! Trainers can earn candy and Pokémon prize cards by taking on challenges throughout the event. Every completed activity brings another chance to celebrate a small victory. Maybe you’ll recognize a Pokémon from a tiny clue. Maybe you’ll notice something everyone else missed. Or maybe your greatest achievement will be helping another Trainer feel welcome. There are lots of ways to shine, and we want everyone to have a chance to leave with a smile.

The October atmosphere will be full of color, surprises, and just the right amount of spooky fun. Costumes are welcome if you feel like dressing up, whether you arrive as a Pokémon, a Trainer, or your own mysterious creation. They’re completely optional; showing up ready to have fun is enough. Bring your curiosity, your love of Pokémon, and perhaps a bag for any candy you collect.

Families are welcome to explore the event together. If you have a younger Pokémon fan who has been eager to join a League activity, this is a lovely place to begin. The challenges offer little goals to work toward, and our staff will be there to help when someone needs a hint or a friendly nudge. The best moments may come from the unexpected: a proud answer, a new favorite card, or the excitement of completing one more challenge before heading home.

The Trick-or-Treat Trainer Challenge is about the joy of being a Trainer: discovering something new, cheering each other on, and finding a few surprises along the way. Follow the checkerboard trail when you arrive, see where it leads, and get ready to earn some treats!
