Join Purple Dragon Games for our Marvel Super Heroes Draft Event, where players will open fresh packs, draft cards one pick at a time, and battle using decks built entirely during the event.

What Is a Draft?

Draft is one of Magic's most popular formats because every player starts with the same opportunity to build a great deck.

At the start of the event, each player receives three booster packs. Everyone opens one pack, selects a single card, and passes the remaining cards to the next player. This process continues until all cards have been chosen.

Then players repeat the process with the second and third packs.

By the end, each player will have drafted a unique pool of cards and will build a minimum 40-card deck from their selections and basic lands provided by the store. Unlike Constructed formats where players bring decks from home, Draft rewards creativity, card evaluation, and adapting to what you see during the draft itself. No two drafts are ever the same.

Never drafted before? Don't worry. Our experienced game leaders will guide players through every step of the process. We'll explain how drafting works, help answer questions, provide deck-building advice, and make sure everyone understands what to do before the event begins. Many players discover that Draft quickly becomes their favorite way to play Magic because every event feels fresh and different.
