Reality is breaking—and you will be among the first players to step through the fracture! Join Purple Dragon Games for the Magic: The Gathering Reality Fracture Prerelease, your earliest opportunity to open, build with, and play the newest Magic set before its worldwide tabletop release. Reality Fracture brings years of Magic storytelling to a climactic collision as Jace Beleren attempts to replace the familiar Multiverse with the Echoverse: a perfected reality shaped by his own vision. Familiar characters, legendary creatures, and beloved spells return in strange alternate forms, forcing players to confront two versions of the Multiverse within the same set.

Each registered player will receive one Reality Fracture Prerelease Pack containing six Reality Fracture Play Boosters, one traditional foil Prerelease promo card, one deck box, and one Spindown life counter. You will open your entire kit at the event and use the cards you discover to construct a minimum 40-card Sealed deck. Basic lands may be added as needed and do not have to come from your opened packs. Once deck building is complete, players will enter a series of friendly one-on-one matches and discover how their new cards interact in actual play.

Reality Fracture introduces the Echoverse, Jace’s carefully constructed alternate Multiverse where familiar lives have taken very different paths. Every Play Booster contains an “echoed pair”: connected cards representing a character in the original Multiverse and their alternate Echoverse identity. These paired cards create surprising combinations while showing how a single life, choice, or allegiance might change when reality is rewritten. Players may also uncover borderless echoed pairs, shattered mirror cards, braintwister treatments, traditional foils, Special Guests, and other striking cards hidden throughout the set.

Prerelease is one of the most welcoming ways to experience Magic. Everyone begins with unopened packs, so nobody arrives with a carefully tuned deck or a collection advantage. Your challenge is to examine the cards you open, identify your strongest colors and strategies, and transform your card pool into a playable deck. Experienced players can test their deck-building instincts in a completely unexplored environment, while newer players can learn Sealed deck construction with help from our friendly Purple Dragon Games community. Staff and fellow players will be available to answer questions, explain unfamiliar abilities, and help you prepare for your first match.

A typical Sealed deck contains approximately 23 spells and 17 lands, although the best balance will depend on the cards you open. Creatures, removal spells, combat tricks, card advantage, and a reliable mana base will all play an important role. You may change your deck between games and matches using the remaining cards from your Prerelease pool, giving you the freedom to adjust your strategy as you learn how the new set plays. Every card you open in your Prerelease Pack belongs to you and goes home with you after the event.

Matches will be played in a relaxed, community-centered environment where players can explore the set, meet other Magic fans, and enjoy the surprises of opening a brand-new release together. You do not need to know every card or mechanic before arriving. Part of the Prerelease experience is discovering the set as a group, experimenting with unusual combinations, and sharing those unforgettable moments when someone opens the perfect rare, finds an unexpected interaction, or wins with a card nobody saw coming.
