FESTIVAL IN A BOX: CHAOS DRAFT is arriving at Purple Dragon Games

Something deeply strange is happening to the draft tables....

MagicCon Las Vegas 2026 has somehow leaked into Yreka. The packs are shuffled. The lights are flickering. Somewhere inside these boxes are cards from across Magic history waiting to collide in ways absolutely nobody can predict. This is not a carefully balanced draft environment. This is Chaos Draft. Every booster cracks open a different reality. One moment you are staring at goofy silver-border nonsense that makes the entire table laugh. The next moment somebody across from you slams down a horrifying phyrexian creature, an ancient retro-frame bomb, or a card so bizarre half the table has to stop and read it out loud.

Festival in a Box has become one of the most talked-about Magic products in years because it feels less like opening boosters and more like digging through a cursed vault beneath a carnival built between planes. Mystery Boosters. Secret Lair oddities. Strange reprints. Forgotten mechanics. Cards from wildly different eras of the game crashing into each other like a multiverse traffic accident. Every round tells a different story.

Some players will try to force perfect synergy. Others will first-pick something completely ridiculous and somehow ride it all the way to victory. Somewhere in the room, somebody is going to lose to a card they have never seen before in their life. Somewhere else, an ancient combo thought lost to time is going to rise from the grave and steal a match out of nowhere. You may find yourself facing goblins with absolutely no survival instincts, eldritch horrors from beyond the Blind Eternities, chaotic enchantments that turn the entire board state upside down, or old-school cards that feel like relics from another dimension. Some cards look fake until they resolve and suddenly everyone at the table realizes the danger was real all along.

Swiss rounds will determine who survives the evening, with prize tickets awarded based on wins throughout the event. Those prize tickets can be redeemed for store credit toward booster packs, singles, snacks, accessories, or whatever treasure catches your eye around the store.

• Seating is limited, and this event is expected to fill quickly.

• Players who reserve their tickets online or in-store ahead of time will receive FREE pizza and soda during the event so we can order food accordingly and keep the chaos fueled properly.

The curtains are opening! The carnival lights are warming up. And somewhere inside these packs, something weird is waiting. Will you join? but more importantly, will you survive? Note: Ticket fees are not paid to Purple Dragon Games, but to our payment processor. If you go in-store to buy tickets in advance, we do not charge a ticket fee.
