Drivers, start your engines! Purple Dragon Games is firing up the PlayStation and racing wheel for a free night of competitive Gran Turismo Sport time trials. Take your place behind the wheel, race against the clock, and see whether you have the precision, speed, and nerve to claim the fastest lap of the night. Each driver will have an opportunity to complete a timed run using our in-store racing setup. Your goal is simple: learn the track, control your speed through every corner, and cross the finish line with the lowest time possible. One missed turn can cost the lead, while a perfectly timed brake or clean racing line could move your name straight to the top of the standings. Drivers will be competing through recorded lap times, allowing players of different experience levels to challenge one another without having to race on the track simultaneously.

Every official time will be entered on the Purple Dragon Games Video Game Leaderboard. The fastest driver will earn champion status and the glory of holding the top position—at least until another racer arrives to challenge it! Our leaderboard is designed to build an ongoing community of local video game competitors, giving players a place to establish records, defend their titles, and return for future race nights to improve their standing.

There is one obstacle standing between you and victory: the Purple Dragon Games staff will be racing too. If a player defeats our staff and finishes with the fastest time of the night, that first-place driver will win a $5 Dragon Coin. If our staff claims the fastest lap, the prize will pass to the second-place finisher, making the fastest community racer our $5 Dragon Coin winner. Either way, one guest driver will leave with the prize—and everyone will have the chance to say they tried to outrun the house.

You do not need to own a PlayStation, racing wheel, or copy of the game to participate. The complete racing setup will be provided, and newcomers are welcome to join. We will help each driver get situated, explain the controls, and prepare for the starting line. Experienced racers can chase the smallest fractions of a second, while beginners can enjoy the excitement of using a steering wheel setup and completing their first competitive time trial.

Gran Turismo Sport rewards more than raw speed. Drivers must choose the right moments to accelerate, brake carefully before turns, maintain control, and follow an efficient line around the course. A steady racer can often defeat a reckless driver with a faster car, so keep your wheels on the track and your eyes on the next corner. Watch the other competitors, learn from their runs, and prepare to make every second count when your turn arrives.

Race Night is completely free and open to drivers of all experience levels. Come challenge your friends, meet other local video game racers, join the Purple Dragon Games leaderboard, and discover who has what it takes to become our newest racing champion.
